Feel very lucky first time to put in for NM archery with outfitter, got fist choice Unit 15 first 2 weeks of September.

Now that I live in ID and New Mexico is a crazy long drive away I only put in for the best hunts BUT... Still 16 years straight of ZERO elk tags is crazy. Especially because for at least 10 or 12 of those years I was putting in for mid tier tags.

Maybe some day.

Not necessarily. Depends on the area/zone. Where we hunt, no need.

Guides are only required in designated wilderness areas on the NF in Wyoming.

Drew a reduced-price cow tag as well, luckily. Odds of drawing dipped from 80-something percent to less than thirty percent.
