I passed on Wyoming this year. Im kinda in a no mans land with 4 points. I will draw a good wilderness tag in 3-4 years with an outfitter.

im ready, I drove from Houston to west of Colorado last yr by myself because everyone backed out last min, and Said F it im still going. it was a DIY Hunt and had a blast, seen several elk just could not get up on them. Could have shot ton of mule deer they where every where.

The game and fish added 300 available cow tags to unit 34. Brings the number of cow tags to 1200 for 3 hunts.
Looks like they are trying to get the population under control in that unit.

is your outfitter applying for you? Mine just gave me their outfitter number and I put in on my own. Man April 26 is so far away. I want to start planning my hunt

Thanks for the info. I thought he said 19th. Yeah...I blew a bunch on a landowner tag last year and it was a pretty crappy hunt.

Sorry to hear that. I Know you guys hunted on Spur lake ranch a couple years ago, thats a tough hunt too. I think if you hunt unit 15 you need a unit wide tag. Most of the national forest is better than private land in that unit.

Sorry to hear that. I Know you guys hunted on Spur lake ranch a couple years ago, thats a tough hunt too. I think if you hunt unit 15 you need a unit wide tag. Most of the national forest is better than private land in that unit.

The Spur Lake hunt was pretty darn good. Last year was just too early. Trying to catch elk leaving the ranch at daylight from the alfalfa fields. No calling, no bugling, nothing. 10 minute hunt each morning. Then it was over.
