I finished the 10 day earlier in the month and am thinking about doing another one.

I am down to the last 15lbs to lose and have hit a plateau .... working 7-12s is making it tough because it seems like there isn't time for anything except for work.

It's pretty cool, just stick with it for 5 days and let us know how you feel. Depending on how bad your diet is you may be very surprised. You will notice a difference no matter what.

You may want to try a book "juicing for life" it is a great book full of recipes for any and everything you want to work on. We've been juicing for 30 yrs and yes there are more benefits than you can ever imagine if you keep up a good maintenance schedule. The book gives detailed juice recipes for all kinds of sicknesses, ailments and maintenance.

Just started using turnips (root). I was pleasantly surprised how good they are in juice.

Watched the show last night and went and bought a juicer today.Been wanting one for a while, this show gave me that extra push. Saw this thread all the time on TBH but never once opened it....now I understand why it has lasted so long. I don't see myself replacing all 3 meals with juice.. just maybe one a day. But I also don't eat fast food, I run about 2 miles a day and workout...so I am not completly relient on the juice. Food Inc...was a good doumentary also watched it this morning. I am going to rent Fork over Knife tonight. (its only $2 to watch these documentaries instantly on you computer on Amazon.Com).

Alright folks..watched this documentary a while back- the thought has lingered for sometime now..

                      -question
I have a highend blender(blendtec), but no juice processor machine(juicer). Will the blender be sufficient to get started on say a whole day of juicing?

It would work but you should try to strain it through a kitchen strainer. But, to just get a feel for it, just go to the store and buy some Odwalla or Naked juice and try it for a day. Less messy than straining.

Woking on day one. My whole family is doing it. The boys (12 & 14) are not to thrilled about it, but their just doing it for a week. My wife is doing to start w/ 14 days & I'm gonna try for 30 days. Wish us luck!

                            Nice.

Remember that day #3 (or close ) is going to suck.... depending on what your body is accustomed to. Push through it and you will be amazed.

Bringing this to the top. How is everyone doing? I too was inspired after watching the shows "Food Matters" and "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead". I bought a juicer and made a commitment to lead a healthier life. Since February I have lost around 25 lbs and feel great. Hope some of you guys will check in with an update!

I seen an infomercial called "juice and lose" with Montel Williams a few nights ago. It looks amazing! Its not a juicer its an emulsifier! We had purchaced the Jack Lalane(sp) juicer years ago and it worked great. The problem with "juicers" it shoots the nutritious pulp out the other side!! Your not getting the full benefit of what your juicing. If you can find the juice and lose on the web or catch the infomercial everyone should check it out. Its the way to go! It juices, makes sauces, anything! It even makes warm soup. Looks like a blender but has a POWERFUL motor. Even says it has a 100yr warranty!! Hard to explain all it does on here! Worth checking out though.
