Clear finger nail polish, I promise you. Every spring turkey season. Just make sure you put it on the bites not your nails.

Mix a paste consisting of 1/8th cup flouride toothpaste, 1 tbs meat tenderizer, 1/4 cup white vinegar and 2 tbs flour. Rub a nickel sized paste on each bite. Leave on for 1 hour, then wash it off with salted water.

        Works every time.

To prevent them in the future put some sulpher in some old panty hose and dust your self off with it before going to the woods. It prevents them, but once you get them there is really nothing you can do.

Bleach, fingernail polish...etc. then some people are saying you can't get rid of them. Does anybody have actual facts that you can't get rid of them. That's not sarcastic, I would really like to know the facts on it. I've always took a bleach bath and it always seemed to help. I just wondered if it's just always been a mental thing and I'm really not doing anything to kill them.

Navajo, I promise you fingernail polish works. I donor know if it suffocates or just cuts out the air from the bite so the itching goes away. I spring turkey hunt every year and get them every year. When I get home I put it on.

My wife didn't believe me either until she got them and tried it. No bs

They aren't burrowed in your skin, you have already been bit by the critters.

Saw a medic use "Rid" lice shampoo on a guy who was eat up with em. Try taking a teaspoon of Apple Viniger a day before you go out. (for at least a week prior) I did this the last few years in Ga. Never had a problem with em after that.

I'm not going to read all of the previous suggestions, but this WILL WORK.
PREVENTION: Get some "Wetable Sulfer" from academy and put it in your socks and waste band of your undies. THEY WONT GET IN THERE!

TREATMENT: Nail polish of any color (I like pinkJJ), put it on every bite. Almost instant relief from the itch and in a day or two they are dead and you wash it off. You may need to re-apply.
