I need some advice on how to uninvite a friend.he is new to bowhunting, and by new I mean..he just bought his bow this morning. He's a good friend of ours but the moral of our story is ..you don't become a bow hunter from one day to another.

Newbe's gotta start somewhere. Better to start with some instruction then not.
Take this opportunity to get him started on the "right foot".
Have him prove shooting proficiency at camp before he goes out, or something.
Talk about when to draw, animal alertness/position, shot placement, recovery, etc.

Make this into a training opportunity. Who knows, may see a coon or a pig he can take a shot at...

If he is that much of a friend, it would seem that you would know he did not have a history of bowhunting. IMO I would not uninvite him, but I would invent some sort of proficiency test that he must pass to hunt alone. Such as all 6 arrows within a 3" circle from 20 yards or something like that. All while turning different shot angles, and elevations.
Then you always have the reasoning that you had to pass the same skill test, so he must also pass it.
