just got out of the back

Of a police car. I was playing softball tonight and had a disagreement with the umpire and he ended up pushing me into the fence. I told the supervisor of the situation and he said he would handle it. I told him if he didn't I would call the police and report assault. After a little while was trying to talk to the supervisor again when he told me to f off and leave him alone. I then left to call 911 and while on the phone a officer walked and I thought wow what a quick response. Well the supervisor called 911 and told the police I wad making terroristic treats towards him. After 3 hours the officer told me I wads free to go but I couldn't drive home because I admitted to having a few beers. My father had to come get me. I'm not sure what I can do at this point, I mean I was assaulted and being the bigger person by walking away, which I never do and i get ridiculed for my responsible behavior. Can I do anything about this besides reporting to the owner?

Looks like you got a dose of the small town good ole boys. Since you admitted to having a few beers, I'm thinking you don't have much leg to stand on. Sorry it happened to you though that does stink!

It just really disappoints me how some people control a situation. By the way the ump that pushed me, tonight was his first game back from suspension for hitting a player.

The umpire, and the supervisor sound like a couple o' jackarse's.I'd probably just let it be.Bad thing is it won't be the last time you have to deal with 'em.

It is unfortunate how others act, I would have no doubt been in the same situation as you, and pretty ticked at how it was handled!

its a game! disagreements over a call are not worth getting worked up over. My guess is the beer impacted some decision making and some poor choices of words. if physical contact (pushing & hitting) and calling 911 is part of this ball league, I'd suggest finding another league.

reporting what to the owner of what? what is your ultimate goal here? vindication? net letting this go will only end badly. I have seen this exact thing unfold more than once in the beer leagues I played in for years. walk away. you didnt end up in jail, so it is a no harm no foul moment!

Sometimes you just have to pick your battels to fight and this one seems like the wrong one for you. Chalk it up to one of those "hard lessons" to learn and get back out there. Seems the only way to save face now would be to get back in the game. I don't think I would pursue it any further. Good luck.

Sounds like a rough place to me. I would find another place to play ball!
