Scorpions are capable of reducing their metabolic rates to very low levels.

        Funny scorpion story

Been stung quite a few times. It's the dry that's bringing em in. Numb tongue or tingling young/face is normal. A couple of years ago I went into the potty and sat down. After opening a book, I reached up and flipped on the vent fan. Scorpion was on the fan and he dropped straight down onto the book in front of my eyes. Scared me to no end but for a secong he didn't move. Reflex action kicked in and I slammed the book shut and squished him. Now out of habit, I can't go in that bathroom without looking up at the fan just to check to see if one is there. Tip of the week. Don't leave your work gloves on the garage floor. I guarantee you you cannot remove that glove fast enough. Ouch! Hate the boogers.

With all your senses wired to "feel" anything, I`m thinking it`s next to impossible to get a good nites sleep.

The last thing you want is to have a huge anaphylactic reaction, major swelling and airway obstruction! Seriously, the numb tounge thing should NOT be overlooked here - it could easily turn into a life threatening situation.

And I would be doing a major extermination of the house and yard.
