I'm a fan of any of these companies thus far.

      LMT
      DD
      Spikes
      BCM
      PSA
      CMMG
RRA if you must buy from a gun shop

Larue if you want that .5" group gun.

I don't really like Noveske as I think they are a touch over priced. I don't think they are as good as a Larue, Colt, or KAC but and aren't that much better than the one's I listed to get a higher bump in price.

That's a dang good deal. The only downside is it's 1:9 twist. Perfectly fine if all you wanna hunt is varmints or just want a plinking gun.

Speaking as someone who has shot some colt a2s, comparing them to noveske, I like the noveske better. Colt is the top of the list for a reason, but the noveske fits together with closer tolerances then everything I have built, rra, stag, cmmg(freaking awesome for their price man!), noveske, and lmt. lmt is a close second to colt though. The finish on stag is nicer than rra, but cmmg is better than stag. Noveske tops colt, but lmt and colt run the same. In short, having worked on rra, I don't like them. Cmmg is closer to e STD than stag but it is aloud more expensive.

Now, having worked on dpms as well, they suck. Sloppy and missing lots of quality steps like staking. Hw hard is it to stake?

1:9will handle 68gr pills and lower. The winchester power point at 64gr and nosler partition at 60gr fit the bill wonderfully. Add 53gr ttsx barnes to that combo and you're killing mid sized animals reliably.

Check ammo prices and availability. No point in expecting to have some fun if you can't afford it.
You might ask for ammo suggestions.

Ive seen it done without a vice even! On a tail gate!

Guys what part does the lower really play here for an accurate gun. I would think that the barrel would play the bigger part!

Hammer and trigger make a hell of a difference as far as accuracy is concerned. Those need to be purty tight fitted so theres no slop. Reciever is an integral part of the gun. Dont count it out.

im not diggin' the barrel though. if it were black, I'd probably go for it.

Depends on what it goes for but that seems pretty nice. Especially with the threaded flash guard.

how important is a chrome lined barrel?

Depends on who you ask. Supposedly a non chrome barrel will be slight more accurate while a chrome barrel will last longer and be easier to clean. It's more important for AKs since there is a lot of corrosive ammo available for .
