Low T (testosterone)

I've pretty much done all of these. I was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2006, and after surgery and radiation, I wasn't able to produce the correct amount of Testosterone naturally.
I started on Testim. It worked for a while, but I quit using it because I couldn't bow hunt with it.... Testim smells like the cologne department at Macy's ;-). It is also sticky until it thoroughly dries, so your shirt sticks to your shoulder!
Next I tried AndroGel. Androgel comes in a larger bottle, so it is difficult to travel with. It worked for a while, and then seemed to be of no help.
I then did TestoPel Pellets that are implanted under the skin of your hip. It bled like crazy for 2 weeks, worked really well for 6 weeks--- IT WAS SUPPOSED TO LAST 6 MONTHS! And the best part is my hip still looks like someone shot me with a .243!
I have been doing injections now for over a year. I get them once a week, and I like the results. The shots don't hurt, and my T Levels are routinely around 500 after a 7 day cycle, which means they are likely around 800 after the injections. I was around 215 when all this started.
My best advice is avoid testicular cancer if at all possible!

Started taking Testim, it's a gel, and not steroids. The Testim quit working after about 2 years and I've been doing injections for 3 years now. I now get the pleasure of taking 2 shots a week, and I'm only 23.
There are other ways of treating it than a prescript, but if you actually have low T they are worthless.
For those of you who actually think you may have it, shoot me a PM and I'd be happy to help you out with it. I've got one of the best doctors in the world for it.

your comparisons between broccoli/veggies and red meat is misleading to people who dont know better.
no one eats broccoli for the protein, you eat it for the nutrients/micronutrient values. (btw broccoli isnt 80% protein by weight, its closer to 50%)
per weight volumn isnt as critical as per Kcal volumn. Most veggie are incomplete proteins, you have to learn how to complete these proteins to get the full value. Its not difficult to do and most vegetarians do it by chance than by intent, but it still has to be done.
there are way more benefits to red meat than just the proteins, especially to someone with low T.
work this with your above quoted post..
100g's of uncooked broccoli is 4.3 g of INCOMPLETE proteins.

I was diagnosed with this years ago subsequent to a head injury that damaged my pituitary gland. At that time, the only alternative was injections, and I gave myself monthly shots in the legs. More recently they came up with Testoderm patches. Just stick them on your body anywhere (large muscle mass location preferably) and they replenish the testosterone level much more evenly than the former method.

Stress can do alot to affect the level as well as periods of inactivity. My wife is certainly going to be happy when I get back to the normal levels
