    Cantex,

I sent the person who has the dog an e-mail and I am waiting on a response on the breed and possibly a picture. As soon as I hear something I will let you know.

          Brian,

Jp and I got Diego and Lucifer from Marlo Riley. They were bred of Riley's Little Girl and Tiemann's Solo.

Following is a list of breeders who currently have pups available.

You will notice that Marlo currently has no pups. Tiemann's, Grahm's and Brooks are hunting dogs. You will also notice that my stud, Lucifer, is the stud in the Brooks litter. I doubt that Brooks will sell a pet.

If I were you, based on that list, I would contact Sandy. Annie Oakley and Deek are good dogs. Well mannered pets who do work also.

I have no idea who Steven Hartranft is. Might want to call him too.

          Steve

I must have been typing for a while. NOT A CHANCE MIKE!

Seven will likely be a better hunting dog in the end any way.

Why the heck does everyone want Ellie? She is a great dog but not the best hunting dog out there. It must be because she is so darn cute, all 25lb of her.

Not to hijack but we're going to be looking for a female puppy in the next few months. My Shilo is about 19 months now and starting to chill out a little. He is out of Tom Grahams Chigger and Dolly, red and weighs 60 or so lbs. The boy has a great nose but we did have some dog aggression problems when he was young. He trained out of it. SO, anybody with a litter due this winter, give me a holler if you would. Carry on.

You liked that pic huh Steve? Lucy is behind Diego in the little Pup pic. He is a great dog as well. They were twins and the only two she dropped.

Bowrian, I'm going to breed Diego fairly soon and just beginning the research process for a mate. I want to pass the genes along because he has such strong markings and a great personality. I don't think there will be any way I will have pups available by Christmas though. You should have good luck going through Sandy if you want want sooner.

                        J.P.

Luna would never let Ace lay on top of her like that. She has a 3 foot zone of personal space that he isn't allowed to invade.

Lacies are game bred dogs. They are more pack oriented than most breeds. If you are a strong pack leader, they make a wonderful companion for you. If you are a weak leader, they will walk all over you and run your household.

                          Luna

Forgive the hi-jack Bowrian. JP, I never thought of the invisible fence. How hard was Diego to train to not go outside the boundary? I have thought about getting a Lacy as a pet and tracker but live right on a Farm to Market road and don't really want a fenced yard. I have just under an acre but live adjacent to several thousand acres of deer country. In that circumstance do you think the invisible fence would contain a Lacy? If so, I might want to talk to you about Diego's pups.
