    Best cell phone coverage?

I am so sick of Cingular/ATT. It's not the coverage but everything else. My plan in ending soon and I'm wondering what other companies have good coverage and are easy to work with if you need to upgrade phones. ATT bends you over a barrel once you are sihned up. Mine will be used in the Houston area and East Texas.

I have sprint, have had it for a while. Clear, no dropped calls. Bad thing is I don't get coverage at the ranch but not many people I know do.

cingular also works around rocksprings very well, sprint does not work there at all... sprint is limited, all the networks are limited, you have to find one that best fits your area pattern and go with it.. they all screw you.

i cannot complain about cingular. i have never had a phone that works in austin, port oconner, batesville, llano, and mesquite bay. every company is gonna try to squeeze every penny out of you they can, you have to go with what gives you the best service.

Verizon. I had Cingular and they absolutely ran the rail to me. I've been with Verizon for three years now and have had zero trouble. I also use their air card for my computer. Practically broadband speed with a good signal. If Cingular were the only service available, I would not have a cell. Just my experience.

One more thing... I travel all over East Texas for work. There are VERY few dead zones with my Verizon phone...

I have Cingular and have much better rural area coverage than most of my friends with other carriers.

IMO Cingular/ATT is the best of the worst...

Here in East Tex, you prob. need to stick with ATT other service, I hear is worse I am in the Tyler/Lufkin area, around and in between.

Verizon doesn't work very good at my lease in East Texas or in Garner. Cingular always does though.

Cingulat/AT&T is by far the best coverage if you will be in rural areas. My AT&T works at the lease in Llano where my Verizon or Sprint absolutely got nothing! It don't work great, but it does work in case of emergency, and I can always text out to communicate.

I had Sprint and it was terrible!Switched to Cingular/ATT and I love it.The have, without a doubt, the best coverage available in Texas. The TPWD uses them for that exact reason.

As far as my experience with upgrading phones goes, they all suck!!If you want to upgrade, buy an unlocked phone off Ebay for half the price the retail outlets want.

if I get off the highway Verizon no worky. I'm surprized at the places I get survice with Cingular. Of course this new system(GPRS) will take some time to catchup to the coverage of the old system, I'm told but they said once it is up and goin that it will be better than the old stuff. they all are full of bs.
