              No prob.

I find the best way to start them out is to hold them up and let them start walking on it on their back legs slow, then just be patient and put them down on the front. If they start dragging their back legs (which they will), just start over. After a while with you supporting their mid section towards the chest, you will see them start getting some coordination. Hang with it. It burns a lot of bad habits out of a dog.

Thanks for all the good advice. I already humped him till he peed and then he was exited and went and chewed up a 100 ft hose. Won't try that one again!
But to be serious I do appreciate the comments and I just hope I can fix it.

Mine chewed on fence and dug holes... I did everything except take his teeth out and wrap his paws with duct tape... I had a pond by the house I would take him at LEAST once a day and let him swim till he was tired and it seemed to work... he's 5 now and doesn't do it anymore

Buy the black natural rubber type, like tires and intertubes are made from. I have been through two labs with the same hose still in one piece. There is something about the green vinyl type that they love, but neither dog ever looked at the black hose. Plus the black one won't crack when it bitter cold outside.

I'm thinking he's bored. Our chocolate lab is about 1 1/2 (got him on here a couple months ago) and he had\has a chewing problem. For the most part exercise is the best medicine I've found. Yesterday was a hectic day and we didn't have time to work with him or even spend much time together. Guess what, I came home at 9pm to an upset spouse and a chewed up chair. Yep, I fussed at him a little but he's young and full of energy and he needs a way to work it off.

Fetch is his game of choice. If you keep throwing he will keep bring them back until your arm falls off. If we can play with him and keep him running for about 30 minutes 4 or 5 times a day he's great. If we don't, he gets bored and starts begging for attention or goes and finds something to do which typically isn't a good thing.

I know it may sound harsh but...

Take a nice section of the hose, 6 or 8 feet and duct tape it in his mouth, leave it in there a couple hours, If he eats the hose again, do it again.

                          He will figure it out!

It may be harsh, but it works.

I know Im gonna take a reaming for that, atleast I dont hump him!

What gets me even more is that he knows he's not suppose to do it. When he does it and I come home and walk to it he immediately tucks his head and tail without me saying anything. Makes it hard for me to thrash him when he gives that pitiful look.
