No worries Clay....you go hunt...I'll get it figured out...

I've always had good luck with tall feeders, strong motors and no cages. They will sling the corn out enough where it’s too troublesome for anything short of a starving cow to mess with.

I’d hate to have to put a pen around them they would take at least 28 panels at 7 per side on each feeder.

One of the ranches I hunt on is a CATTLE ranch and they have never had pens around any of their feeders. I have never seen a cow at the feeders eating corn. Like Cotton stated above, the bottom of their feeders are 8 foot tall so no cow is going to be able to get his tongue up to the spinner and spin corn out onto the ground and the motor slings the corn far enough that it does not pile up under the feeder where the cows can get to it easily. If they go after a couple of peices of corn they are going to get the corn and one big mouthfull of dirt.

Well Codie.... these cows are picking them up 1 kernel at a time....I have hundreds of pictures of them doing it outside of the feeder pens on three different pens and have seen them do it........and there certainly aren't any piles on the inside fence row where they are leaning over. The only pile is just under the feeder and they haven't reached it yet.....
