We tried to run these on road feeders and when they worked the were flawless but we kept chunking links. Anyone else had this issue?

The link problem stemmed from them having long clips holding the links on, and corn ricocheting around inside the road feeder unit and bending that clip. All of the new ones use e-clips and as far as I know that fixed the problem. If you will call Karl, he can fix it for you.

I'm going to take it off Sunday and take by Ultramatic to let Karl look at it. Corn is too expensive to be feeding anyway! Deer will have to eat the protein since it is about as cheap

I'm glad this thread is just a retread. I'll be heading west next week to put three of these into service and the thread title had me scared there for a second.

This is what happened to mine. I took the old one to Karl and he gave me a new style that had the e-clips. I haven't had a chance to put it back on yet.

I have the exact same problem with two of my spintech's. I loved them when i first got them but now they are both stuck in the all the way down position.

I will say that i was out at Karls place and he handed me one no questions asked and said the "new"design eliminated that issue. That was two months ago and I've not had the time to change it out.

SO I went to check mine for the 1st time and I had the exact same problem

It seems the corn is getting stuck and not allowing the plate to seal completely. Pic looks just like STOLLE's above. 1/4 inch of corn or so hanging out.

I know Karl will take care of me, but just wondering why it is doing this or if I can fix it before I send it back? It is 2 weeks old.

How about using the different spinner plate that is completely flat...or is that the "new design" that is being referred to?
Our Eliminators came with a flat round spinner plate. No problems yet.

anyone had this issue? I got this Eliminator less then 2 months ago and it has been in the field for 2-3 weeks. I would think this would be the newer model but not sure. What are the E-clips that were mentioned?

I checked mine a week ago and a piece of corn was stuck in the linkage and prevented it from going back to the top. Removed the corn and all is well. I will take pictures of mine on Wednesday. So far no issues other than that.

The e-clips are clips that hold the chain links together, like the axles on a bow. I have heard of this happening a couple of other times, and the way that they fixed it was to run a zip tie through the link that the corn was in. They would not pull it down all of the way, just enough so that a kernal couldn't get in there anymore.
