Bees yes. Coons no. Birds no. I have a critter cage installed on each of my feeders. And unless the deer can reach about 8 ft. and have figured out how to open those cages I'd say no to the deer as well. Ed

I'm going to check with Karl tomorrow. Seems like the spring does not have enough ummmff to over come the weight of the corn.

Same issue here, bought one at Oasis and it happend the same weekend. Took it back, got a brand new feeder. Spinner problems within a few weeks. Dad keeps spaying
WD-40 on it when it happens. Seems to be working when it wants to

To those looking to buy one, I vote Nooooo...

            Dang, always something.
            Oh well.
Saved me some money waiting for others to get some time in with this invention before jumping on board.

Just talked to Karl and he is going to get me a new one. I will get him this one so he can inspect it and get to the bottom why it is not working correctly.

I had no doubt he would make it right. I posted this mainly to see if I could fix it in the field. I'll pick the new one up next week and do the swap the next time I'm at the farm. I will let y'all know what the issue is with the current one I have.

Ufortunately I have not been by Karl's when he is open. I will probably take it off this weekend and get it swapped out next week.

Check the links I saw a kernal or piece of corn wedged in the link and that will not let it go all the way up. Had it happen to mine. I love these plates no more coon thiefs.
