    That ain't funny!

A guy we use to hunt with killed a pretty nice buck relative to the area. He propped the thing up in the passenger seat of his truck, put a camo cap, sunglasses and a cigarette in its mouth and drove back home.

I suppose in hind-site it wasn't respectful of the animal in some peoples minds but I'll tell you that it looked funny as , well, it was dang funny!

He wasn't trying to be disrespectful, that is just the kind of character he was.

This is also the same dude that tossed a live fawn deer into another hunters camper in the middle of the night. Now that was funny I promise you!

Both of these were the same thing. Looks like you vary your views depending on what the "masses" are saying on these type of threads...

Nothing wrong with those bucks on top of the cooler, the bed looked full, and congrats to the hunters...
Good point. There were guys ready to whip that guy's arse, string him up or take away his hunting rights.

I don't care how you transport your kills. If you think the once majestic beast would make a great hood ornament, then strap it on. Most adults know where they stand on hunting and killing. Most would rather never see the blood at the butcher, let alone running down the bed of the truck. We will never turn the people that detest hunting no matter how we present it. But think about the 10 yo girl riding down the highway with her family that has never seen a dead animal. You think this will swing her to our side or turn her into one of them.

Everyone has a defining monent when they figure out what they stand for. So go ahead and put it in their faces and beat your hairy chest all you want. After all, we are hunters and everyone else needs to deal with it.

Not with their heads cut off. That would be what I'd want to hide from plain view. If someone sees antlers and wants to take a closer look, ok, and if they don't, they can just drive on.
The things I learned about the majority of TBH members that responded to this thread are that they don't care about other people, only themselves and they can't just disagree with someone, they feel that they must belittle him.

You mean belittle other members like you just did with this post?....and taking what you read on an internet forum and forming opinions without meeting the actual person?

I find nothing wrong with the pic. Do we need to start covering up dead deer on the side of the road with a sheet, jeeez!

Only shameful thing I see is that Longhorn sticker on the back glass.

He use to say, No need to kick a resting bee hive. I guess he was referring to the anti-hunters.

Just because we have the rights to do something does not make it the best choice in all cases.

I have no proplem with someone who does it. I just try not to show any game and I hope their choice do show off game does not affect me in the future.
We are in agreement on the whole deer brain power but I'm still lost on the whole spirit of the animal view. Sorry I really don't get it. Do all animals have this spirit thing going on? Sounds a lot like Disney to me. What's the mouse's spirit like after his head is caught in the trap or is this spirit thing reserved for deer? Insects count?

                              I really want to understand.
