And as a American I personally will respect your feelings on this, but I also dont see anything to awefull about this. If a anti hunting person is against hunting because of this then they are against it for plenty of other reasons.

I agree that being ethical sgould be your goal unless it is completely unavoidable as it seems to be with the full pickup. I do agree with you sir.

OK guys I see some of you're points and respect everyones way of thinking this has made a pretty interesting thread. But Its time for me to dissappear for a while and go harvest/kill/let animals expire for a few days. The guys in the pic also have no room. Maybe the didnn't kill anything or just chose not to show their kills. Maybe they are so proud of their animals that they decided to keep them in the cab with them. Sorry couldn't resist.

I think it's in poor taste. I'm not ashamed of the deer i harvest but i don't flaunt it either. Trying to be considerate of non hunters, not neccasarily anti hunters.

Looks like they had a pretty good weekend to me. You should see me and hoythunter02 on the way back from Sanderson every year! And everybody waves at us and gives us the thumbs-up sign.

His favorite saying was "Them boys ain't right in the head". Somehow that seems to fit this photo!

People forget we have to kill them to eat them. Its how were made. So who cares what they think.

Hmmmmmm.......but you said the old man who was only driving a few miles with the deer winched up on his bumper (in a very rural area of Texas) a few weeks ago was a pathetic excuse for a hunter????

Both of these were the same thing. Looks like you vary your views depending on what the "masses" are saying on these type of threads...

Nothing wrong with those bucks on top of the cooler, the bed looked full, and congrats to the hunters...

                        good discussion.

                        I can see both sides.

My goal is to drive back to Texas with a Monster Bull visible for all to see!

Yes, I'll cover the head but the horns will have dead bugs on them when I get home!

What is wrong with showing a dead animal to folks? It is part of the natural way of things and actual life as it is being lived. Hell, we display our own dead in a box and allow people to come and look at them, so I think an animal head in the back of a truck is no big deal.

And don't forget, that even when these issues do not come up for a popular vote...people still vote to put people into office that make these decisions or that hire people to make these decisions. Anybody been red snapper fishing this month?

One could theorize that tailgate displays etc. do not do much for us as sportsmen who want to see our way of life continue.

Think that your right to hunt is absolute? Ask someone from Michigan or California. Think that "this could never happen in Texas"? Better think again, because the anti-groups are working every single day with lobbyists etc. to try to find a way to end it all at the state and national level. Know where their funding comes from? Maybe from those who were not offended by hunting until they saw your "hero" display.

There are enough antihunters out there as it is, why do things that might create more of them?

                            Just sayin'.
I have to disagree with this the fox hunting is not completely banned only the use of dogs is banned.
