I'm known as the neighborhood redneck, me and my kid's drive all over Lantana in my Polaris Ranger. I think all the dried blood on my bed is a dead giveaway

Until I started college many years ago, I always thought a redneck was someone whose neck was red from working outside and a wetback was someone's whose back was wet from working hard.

      College ruined my happy interpetations.

Ha! You should see our house. We cut down cedar trees and picked up rocks to build it. You can see daylight through the walls and the canned goods freeze in winter. Our spring cleaning is done with a leaf blower, so yes, I guess we are rednecks. Our fancy English neighbors are constantly amused.

I thought about what being a redneck is all about and to be honest I probably do stuff on a day to day basis that makes me a redneck and I don't even realize it.Until last week I was using wire cloths hangers to keep the tailpipe on my truck from fallin off. That might have been somethin a redneck would do I guess.I just thought it was a really good idea.Well it was a good idea until the tailpipe fell completely off.But now my pickup seems like it's a little louder so it's not that big of a deal.It aint hurtin anything so I'll probably just leave it off.

This is a funny topic. I've been told multiple times that I'm the only Mexican redneck people have ever met!

On a side note I have a buddy who was born country and raised country and he seems to think the term "Redneck" is bad. He really takes offense when somebody refers to him as a redneck so I tell him that often. He's a welder so he's got the red neck and he's country as could be so if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck I just call it as is!
