Simply awesome! I now know of 5 bear sightings between Del Rio and Leaky in the past year. 2 were caught on trail cams in Val Verde County East of Del Rio. My buddy David Price that owns the Horn Ranch in Kinney County and leases the adjoining 14K acre Rancho La Tinaja saw a bear while out doing a deer survey in the helicopter. An off duty Houston PD officer photographed one about 11 miles from the Horn ranch on FM2523 and it made the Bracketteville paper. Now Mary films one! AWESOME!!

Oh I forgot to mention last year some time my buddy Chirs was driving to Del Rio and saw a dead one on the side of the road near Cartevalley. Must be a few of them out there with this many sightings.

Seriously, if I had to guess, I would say around 200. He was tall, but not hefty. Didn't look sickly, but didn't look like he was storing up for winter either... LOL
