      I guess

I'm the negative one...I shot a M6 with 80% mods on it and was so impressed with the speed, I went and bought a brand new M7 with 65% mods on it overall, the M6 felt better and shot smoother than my new M7...the M7 is way slower than the M6, and feels really "wild" at the shot...I tuned the bow, timed the cams, twisted and adjusted the strings, and still don't like the M7...if I had it to do all over again, I would buy a different bow...I just do not like the M7.

see if you can decipher the draw force curve charts below

a rounded "bell curve" is very smooth and easy to draw

the flatter the arch equals more "hump" , typically with a speed bow

DrenLD - one of the smoothest bows around
        easy to let down

        Monster - basically from 13" to 25" you're pulling 70 lbs.
when you let down from full draw, you can see how this bow wants to run (;ots of stored energy)

The DXT is my "go to" bow..

The short is.. I had a DXT.. Sold it to FireWoody to buy my monster.. I love the monster.. I am not scared of a heavy pound bow, or a heavy bow in general.. BUT, there is something about pulling a DXT that is like a knife through butter that is irresistable..Its so light, compact, shoots amazing and at 65# takes almost no muscle effort to draw..

Some times you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't.. So, I like keeping the monster because sometimes I just want a freakin dragster.. But most of the time I like driving a beamer...

If that doesn't make sense then just imagine the Monster is Megan Fox (raw passion) and the DXT is Elizabeth Hurley (smooth and refined)

Cajun Blake - thanks for those charts buddy, I can't wait to shoot the Monster now just to feel the draw cycle!

Leftridge - LMAO, that's a heck of an analogy, I gotta remember that.

just curious brother, what DL and draw weight ?? 30/71 ??
I'm at 70/30. I didnt believe it until i tried to shoot the ASA state qualifier in Arlington earlier this year for the hunters class. They got a max of 288 for all classes. You had to chrono your bow while an official witness it. Needless to say, i could only shoot for fun and not for score.

Between the strings and all the cables it has 5 pieces to replace.

Theres no way I would ever let anyone from a box store ever touch my monster. Also there are alot of bows that claim to be as fast but good luck, none are. Not strother, pse or any bow i have ever seen out shoot a regular monster 6 except a monster xlr8.
Funny becuz i've had Cabelas replace strings on three different bows of mine with no problem. However, i had a local proshop to get the csbles mixed up on my roller guard on my HCA Iron Mace. I ended up having to ship that bow to an HCA dealer in OK to fix it right. Oh, the irony...

My last two bows where aggressive, dual cam speed bows, so its never been an issue for me.

Brother, I hear ya! I shot the CXT at Smithfields two years ago. At 70#, felt like 50#. Super quite, but not that fast, which is is ok. I almost took my wedding ring to the pawn shop to put down on that bow.

After shooting it last night, I'd buy it if you don't want it.. that bow has nothing wrong with it.. One of the smoothest "speed" bows I've ever shot..

Well...I'm gonna shoot it this weekend...after a generous dusting of JAVI dust last night, it felt pretty good...I made the new arrows, and am preparing to try them out at COWHEAD ARCHERY this weekend...(wanna go?) so I'll know next week if it's for sale or not...btw...3 arrows should be enough for a round of 3D right?

You might finish with one left.. you do tend to lose at least one per 20 targets..
