I'm not much of a poster (obviously!), but I'm a longtime follower.
Things pre crash.
The "Original Velvet Elvis" issued by Legdog, although those that tried to follow were appreciated.
Fewer people to keep up with made it easier to know what most were up to. If you checked in at lunch and then again after work there weren't 1000 new posts to go through.
I never made many of the GTG's, but I did meet Tuthdoc at one here in Seabrook a lot of years ago. The place was called Blondie's, one of the members (I believe Shawn) owned it, or had part interest. There was quite a turnout.
The site still has a lot of the same qualities... just on a larger scale!

Liked it before, Like it just as much now some things have changed some things have not just glad to have a place to come gather round hear some good stories and have a few laughs, maybe share some of life's disappointments with people who love the outdoors as much as I do as well as the small successes i may have. Help from some of the guys with kids to help give advice now that Dads gone. I really like the fact we are growing that means we are all doing our jobs to introduce the sport we love to the next generation. I did like the opportunity to be nominated for the old VE and now I like the pm style system we have. Like you said this site has been a Godsend and I have been fortunate enough to enjoy this place with all of you.

I may not be one of the originals of this site but I have been around a long time now. Since 04...
May have started a little bull in my early days and now would like to think I have grown a little because of this site and the friends made from it.

Been thru both crashes too. A lot of the people have changed, some good, some bad. Velvet Elvis, Bid Feeder ClubUsed to be more like a small town, now more metropolis like. But still good people and a lot of good info. Didn't seem to be so much drama and keyboard rambos before. Kind of miss Tink, it was like trying to decipher heiroglyphics trieing tu reed hes posteses.
Oh yeah, I don't remember the WSOD (white screen of death) pre-crash. But at the same time, I haven't had any Houdini threads post-crash eitherLast edited by Extremebowman; 08-19-2010, 06:28 AM.

I never have posted much, but hit this sight almost daily, at least once.
Rodney DeCroo's dad and all of his guiding stories before he died of cancer.
