I first joined the green screen in 2000. What I like best now is the different forums. Now, what I don't like is all of the stupid questions not related to hunting/fishing/outdoors, etc!! Still waiting on the post asking which toilet paper I think is the best. Some of the questions on here now are stupid.
Rodney DeCroo's dad and all of his guiding stories before he died of cancer.
Ditto.....those were downright awesome as I could literally see the mountains in his stories of guiding in some of the roughest places you could imagine!!!! Thanks for the brain juggle!
I miss when TBH was all about the video. The Bones family had one of the best videos ever posted on here for the 1st video challenge.
Now that I think about it, it does seem that it was a lot more about the video and post hunt write-ups and pictures than it is now. Plus the place was so much smaller then, it seems I recognized every name on here when going through threads. Now it has grown so big, all that has changed. Fortunately the spirit of the site still survives and it continues to get better every year.
I loved the write-ups, video, and old school live hunts from way back when. Seemed there was lots more hunting stuff to read. I read this site since the beginning but didn't register because I didn't bowhunt when I started reading, so I didn't feel I could contribute. I still read way more than I post or contribute. It IS cool because you can find out about anything here now, but every time I log in I have to read 3 pages of new threads
I'll never forget the "oh crap" look on Michael's face whe the big crash of 06 happened. We were all at our old place near Benavides filming for the "It's all about the Video" video, we may have been doing a live hunt as well. We killed a few deer though.
We were a lot more like Family then, probably because we were so much smaller. As mentioned before, we all pretty well knew each other. Frontloader, Allan, and Doc are the three that I miss the most, I guess.I couldn't find a picture of FrontLoader. Here are pictures of Doc and Allan.
