fire him first thing monday. hes been gone that long, you may have replaced him already. do not tell him he will be fired. this type of person sounds the trip and fall on wet steps. just to relax for the rest of his life. if he is taking things from your company, and you send him on other job sites, will that companys "things go missing" also? then what will you have? a bigger mess. post a job opening here. i think someone from houston[bwssr] has said they will take over the duties. i hate a cocky person that thinks they cannot be fired. take some wind out of his sail fast. before the company truck is the next thing to be misplaced.

          Exactly.

If he will steal from the one feeding him he will steal twice as much from the client and if the client thinks you knew....you are as guilty for letting him have something to do with Their stuff.

My suggestion is to hire a new person and get them trained and up to speed asap then let the other guy go.
