    Bad experience with Rage3 blade

I know the Rage 2 blade is awesome but I decided to try the 3 blade. I shot a doe with one and never found a drop of blood. I got a perfect shot on her slightly quartered away and figured she went down quick. After about 3 hours searching we never found her or my arrow. A couple days later I shot a turkey with a 3 blade Rage and only 1 blade opened (unless the other 2 re-seated while the turkey flopped for a minute). Anyway I only have 1 left and I don't trust it so I'm gonna save it for rabbits or sqirrels or something. Has anyone else had bad experiences with the 3 blades?

i've only tried rage once,it was a three blade and when it hit that doe it turned into a limp fish...yes it was a good shot..no penetration.i was shooting 272 fps at the time too...never tried a 2 blade rage just gonna stick with my stinger buzzcuts..

Had a bad experience with a two blade even with a broadside 18yd shot from a Double Bull. Saw the arrow only penetrate about 6 inches and when I found the arrow the Rage did not open correctly. Found some blood and trailed the deer for a long ways but never found that nine point. He was a good deer with a split G2. I have seen them work well and I have shot a hog with one but I'm not sure I will trust them again --

I am going to try the Rage 40Ke. They are a two blace 1.5", but the angle of the blade is not as steep and I think it could get much better penetration. we'll see.

Boughta pack of 2-blades at first of season. First weekend out shot a doe at 11 yards, clean pass through and watched her pile up. Second weekend out shot a nice 8 point, hit him high and he dropped in his tracks. Last weekend shot a spike at 6 yards. he maybe went 50 yards before piling up. So far so good with them for me. But i am still scary of the opening issue.

Same thing happened to me with the two blade little penetration, found the deer. It's was like only one blade did it job!

Last year I got 2 hogs and a buck with the 3 blade. The head did its job of a quick kill but I got no blood trails. Tryin the 2 blade this year, 1 buck, centered in the lungs pass thru but no trail again. I need to do more research

I have been using Rage 2 blades for 2 years now and 10 animals later. I have had no problems. Every animal runs about 40-50 yards and piles up. I shot a nice buck and a cull buck last week and both only went 40 yards and took a dirt nap. Even on woolly rams it has done the job.

I still love the rages even though this happened. I've shot many animals with them, but this one happened to catch a little too much bone. This happened last year.
