I have tried processing my own. I waste more then I get. I used Syracuse's Custom Meats for years and never had this problem that is why I never did it myself. I wish Syracuse would open up a plant in Austin Like they talked about a year ago.

I will NEVER take anything there. When things get pretty busy and they have a few deer piling up in the back, guess how they get the flies off......they spray RAID on them! And I'm not talking about discarded carcasses. I'm talking about deer still needing to be processed.

That sucks guys. I have had a similar experience with Kuby's in Dallas (when it was in Highland Park)-1 bag of meat. Then had the exact opposite happen as well.
Before I started doing my own processing, I brought a 50 lb (live weight!) hog into a processor, and I got back a FREEZER FULL OF MEAT! There was no way that was just my pigs meat. It cost me $150 bucks to have a 50 lb pig processed! And it was already quartered!!
I complained, but it did no good. I'll tell you what it did do though...cause them to never see another dime from me or any of my buddies!
Stuff like this spreads fast, bottom line...take care of your customers.
