No doubt it crazy things can happen. Glad that's all that happened to you.
I had a scary bow freak accident in my backyard as well about 10 years ago. I must have torqued my wrist and my bow slipped around my thumb and having a bow hit you in the face a 300+fps is no fun. I lost sight in my right eye for about an hour or so. Ended up damaging my pupil to were there is a portion of my pupil that wont dilate still to this day. It was scary when it happened, I thought I lost my shooting eye.Comment

I never realized how lucky i was until i see things like this. Got an fairly new budget.. I guess they all are. Bear compound bow back to full draw one time and it exploded. Didnt have a scratch on me but it scared the bejesus out of me.Comment

I've had bruises like that when my short sleeve shirt catches a breeze and grabs the string. It helps to cuss a bit. Hey, that happens. I've had a string break on an old Hoyt compound that tried to wrap around my bow arm. That was a mess and I have four scars to show off now.Comment

Dang Jeff. Glad it wasn't worse. Good reminder to flex your arrows and have good discipline and routine but nothing is a guarantee. Hope you heal up quick!Comment
