I stop to ensure alignment after hitting anchor. Release and go to second anchor. Often it seems the quicker I align and release the better my accuracy and less likely I am to get over tensed and fatigued and wobbly. Watching some people shooting it seems like some people hold to align and align and align and align and I watch them develop shiver/quivering.

Id like to if I can develop continuous motion, which in my mind would mean quicker alignment...for me...that seems more desireable particularly when in a hunting situation. Conversely I would still find it necessary to practice full draw holds in order to develop/maintain those muscles for when necessary to hold draw for an uncooperating critter.

      Ditto what Bisch said:
Its a lot like golf. There are key fundamentals that must be present. Each individual archer will have a slightly different way of applying those fundamentals. Consistency in your particular way (whatever your way is) will lead to good shooting.

be consistent, that's all that matter, be in CONTROL of the shot, your body at full draw is wanting to collapse because its not a normal position to be in....free your mind, be in control, and be consistent...for myself I do a second anchor point, some people call it something else but I call it a secondary anchor, which is all I do is after the shot I anchor to my ear lobe to help with consistency and form...find something that works for you

Did any of you guys watch that old video of John Schulz demonstrating Howard Hill's style that I posted in this thread above?

I gave it whirl in my practice this morning and it felt like fresh air!

          Highly recommended.

Exactly. And if you have doubts, look up the results of the way these two guys shoot.

Yes, I know these guys can shoot. I told Bisch we would follow him around if he makes it to Fredericksburg. He said, don't follow us around, but join us in shooting a round.
