Good luck and if you do manage to get it pulled back to a good solid anchor a few times, please pace yourself. A few times a day every other day is prudent at first. Injury threads are not good reading.
LOL! Tell you what I'll do. I'll set up my phone and record myself pulling that bow the very first time. If nothing else ya'll will have something to laugh at.

My guess is that the look on your face is going to be priceless as you feel your testicles pull back up to where they were when you were ten years old. Not trying to scare you or anything though.

LOL! Saves money on a surgical "tuck". Got confirmation it'll be here Thursday. Look for a video at the end of the week.

80lbs is worry. Other wise shoot and watch your form.

Well, if you can do it, I can do it. I am going to find my heaviest bow and string it up and shoot it. That does not include my 59er that is 60# and has never been shot. No sense in doing that until I grow into it.

It looks like 62# is it. I am going to put it on the draw board and see if it holds together. There is no telling how long ago this bow was last shot. It is a 1953 Grizzly static recurve with brush nocks. This may get ugly.

Painful, but I did it! Not sure how to load the video though. Let's see if it shows up.

Just found out the bow does not come with a string. I'll hit up Daniel over at HCB for a new one. He's made the last four strings I've used and I've loved every one of them.

Daniel you around to make me a classic looking string?

Some time back I was in that sawapping mode and got into a 50's style recurve that was 64 @ my 27. Just going from the normal 50 to the 64 was heavy. I, like many of you, have had some shoulder issues from non-archery related situations. Trying to shoot that bow daily made me more sore then I wanted. It was a beautiful bow as well, and someone else is enjoying it.
                              Ready for the results.
BTW here is a Link to another thread from another forum. Think you will understand.
