    Shooting while wearing gloves?

It's freaking cold outside and I'm not the kind of guy that can go hang out in a blind in this weather without gloves on. I'm sure there are a couple of you that are similar and you've obviously figured out a way to hunt in the cold and not have your fingers fall off. I currently shoot with a tab but that doesn't do anything for heat retention on the digits. So what do you use?

I use a hand muff that goes around your waist like a quarterback uses. I also cut the 3 fingers off my glove for my right hand so I can keep the glove on, but still use the tab. I wear a glove on my left hand, but it comes off whren I think a shot might develop.

I have not practiced with gloves on so I don't even like one on my bow hand. I use a muff like Bisch mentioned with one of those Zippo hand warmers inside.

I have a pair of gloves that I cut three fingers off of the right hand. I also have a pair of mittens that fold back to expose your fingers. If its not brutally cold then I just put my hands in my pockets. I know a couple people who wear mechanics gloves if its not super cold too but I haven't tried it yet.

            Yep, this.

I may wear a glove while walking to and from a blind, but then they come off. I usually have a hoodie on or a fleece zip up that has pockets. I buy those Hot Hands on clearance at the end of the season and put them in my pocket(s) and use those to keep my hands warm.

The face is another issue with bow hunting as you anchor on your face/head somewhere. Instead of a face mask, I use a 2 part system. A warm buff around my neck that I can pull up over the bottom half of my face and then a beanie that covers my head down to over my ears. When it comes time to shoot, my hands are bare and I can pull down the buff to expose my anchor point.

Inside a ground blind, I bring a buddy heater so normally I am pretty warm in general.

I have a pair of gloves that are pretty cool...look like mittens but knuckles down fold back and clip to top part of hand leaving all fingers except thump exposed..thumb is a normal glove

Also have a few gloves I've cut bottom half of trigger finger off

Been practicing a lot with smaller cotton gloves on. Seem to be doing okay. I cut the fingers on my right glove so that my shooting fingers are exposed. I shoot with a leather Bear Paw Glove.

I wear a thin, black driving glove on my left hand and pockets. Right hand just my shooting glove, or release for my training wheels, and a pocket. Hand warmers in the pockets when it's this cold. Down to lower thirties though pockets are adequate and believe me my hands hurt if exposed to this cold very long. I have a hand muff I don't like and haven't been able to find one like the one I lost a a long time ago I did like.
