    Thanks again guys.

I honestly didn't start this thread to brag on my shooting.
I'm just really excited over the difference the grip has made for me.

It's easy to shoot good at home, or in non competition settings.
What separates the men from the boys is how calm & in control you can stay during competition. I've still got a huge problem with that, but I'm workin on it.

Nice find there Rick. A finger sling or wrist sling is used by nearly 100% of competitive recurve target archers, for the reason you just discovered. I love your solution on that bow too as it looks great.

        Thanks John !!!!!!!!

I really don't need the sling, because the bow just sets dead in my hand on the shot, but the sling is a security blanket, and keeps me from wanting to grab. I need to clear my mind of as many of those type things as possible.

You don't know a good shrink who can help me with my mental problems do you?
Archery mental problems that is. My other mental problems are beyond help. HAAAA !

Two books that every competitive archer should own, and read...

"Understanding Winning Archery" by Al Henderson, and

"With Winning in Mind" by Lannie Bassham

Okie Dokie Jon (moreammo), I didn't have a lot of time at break time today, but I did squeeze in one 50 yard shot at the golf ball video for you.

I shot 3 arrows at 10 yards in the house, and then went out & shot this one at the ball from 50.

Sorry to say - I missed the ball, but I scared hell out of it.

Didn't have time to upload the video to youtube, so I put it on my server.
It's a tad over 10 mb, but should download in a minute or less.

Forget trying to go to that first link.

I uploaded the video to youtube, so you don't have to download it.

Thanks Shea , but you know what they say about those backyard heroes.

There's a big difference when the pressure of competition is on.

I think most of us do shoot better in our backyard but I've also seen a few folks who shoot best in competition. In my experience those people are rare but lucky to have that ability. Wish I did!

Wow! I'd take that too lol
Can I ask how your aiming Mr Rick? When I shoot beyond 30 yards I use my arrow point and aim at a spot above the target. Anything under 30 I just focus on the spot I want to hit...
Hope to make the Chester shoot in May this year so I can learn from you guy's and gals.

Great shooting Rick! I would be glad to hit the hay bale at 50 yards.

Hell, I'm not sure I could do that with a rifle.

Seriously that is some really impressive shooting - do you give lessons or eyesight augmentation?
