I drill a 1 3/4" long grabber wood screw into the center of moon or flat nock. chuck it up in the vice and pull and work it around it's only in about 5/16th of an inch it'll pop out.
Never had on that wouldn't come out yet, it is stubborn then take the scew out and put in a 3 inch long #8 fine thread bolt with a washer on, take a adjustable wrench tighten it down on the shaft and tap with a brass hammer, it's pop right out.
Traded for some bolts that were epoxied in, that was my fix.Last edited by Greywolf in Hawaii; 08-11-2013, 11:54 AM.

Flat nocks I'm assuming?
Most moon nocks will pull right out.
I screwed a field point into the back of mine and heated it on a stove burner to remove the nocks back when I used to shoot an Excalibur. Theres a very fine line between too hot, and just hot enough to loosen the glue.
If it starts smoking, it's probably the carbon starting to heat too much. If you do go this route, inspect the shaft closely after removing the nock. If it is cracked, you're either gonna have to have it cut down slightly (I don't recommend this) or trash the bolt entirely.
I shot a bolt with a hairline crack at the nock once, and it shoved the nock halfway up the bolt shaft, and cut the serving on my Equinox to the string. I got lucky. Be careful, and good luck!
One other note. I personally didn't care for Lumenoks with my Excalibur. The Lumenok, by design, has to slam forward down into the shaft with the two wire connectors being compressed to complete the circuit to make it turn on. After a while, the two pieces of wire will wear indentions into the shaft, causing issues with the nock lighting up at the shot, or turning off.
I haven't messed with them, but I personally shoot nocturnals out of my compound. If the design is the same on the crossbow nocks, I'd recommend them over Lumenoks.Last edited by Kirby86; 08-11-2013, 07:08 PM.
