I've been buddies with a good shot or two over the years. Sometimes their shooting goes for various reasons, lost of interest, TP, physical problems or they just do not have the time to shoot.

If they do feel like showing up after not competing for a good while they don't like people going around saying that hey I whupped ole so and so when they were not at the top of their game.

If they don't turn in their score card they feel like people think that they are scared.

Not saying that is what is going on with Keith just making an observation I have had with conversations with others in the past and it is a shame as I wish they would just so up and have a good time.

Anything placed on top of the original shelf is optional making it an elevated rest. I know that pushing the envelope on stuff like this is fun and games for some but there are also those that like it to stay simple. There are groups already formed for ILF and olympic style bows so why try to crowd them in where things are just being kept natural and simple. That would be like me showing up at an olympic event and demanding they make a class just for 50" longbows only and you can only shoot it with a nose ring. I really doubt I would get very far with that one. I use to be a very proud member of TBOT but as of late with their watered down rulings and never knowing from one shoot to the next what to expect on the rulings, I've become somewhat discouraged. And yes they don't like anyone to question the rule but they will not be clear across the board about upholding them the same at every shoot. Now that I have made myself a marked sinner I bid you good night!
LOL...when did you get a nose ring Larry?

And welcome to the marked sinners club...we can just go by MSC for short.

Looks OK to me but but that don't mean $**T! Be watching to see what the ruling is.

RICK did you superglue the plunger bolt in place? where it can't be moved.

Jeff, it has a jamming bolt on the outside of it, that locks it into place, and has to be completely removed from the riser in order to make any adjustment to inner strike plate bolt.

No way to adjust on the fly with this setup.

Keith and Edith chose a path that is reconstructing their lives outside of archery. They concentrated on it and followed it so much that it seriously interfered with what made their living. I happen to be very close to Keith and Edith and can tell you that they could care less if someone out performs them. They generally never practice unless it is inside their house and are prone to show up for no other reason than to socialize. If you know Keith, then you know he just likes fellowship and to make good men better.

Oh, ad rest assured that Keith can whoop the pants off most of us with zero practice. His abilities never left him just the time to do it.

LMBO!!!!! I'm married, I thought that was standard equipment that came in the package, as well as just trying to get along, if you know what I mean!!

I have met both Keith and Edith and they are fine people. My son has shot with him and found him to be a very humble and gracious man.

I did not mean to put him down and stated that may not be why he is not shooting. I do have a friend or two that have stopped shooting for the reasons I mentioned and I miss shooting with them. People shoot or don't shoot for different reasons. Me I just miss being able to shoot with my buddys.

                    100%

I've not seen those two in many years now, but the feelings of friendship have not dwindled in the least.

I had the honor of shooting with Keith that day at afc Paris. He was definately one for the socializing. He went on talking forever and we loved every second of it. He was an incredible man to have the honor to shoot with. As humble as they come! He watched everyone shoot that day with a close eye. When we started the second half of the course he asked me if I could handle a little constructive criticism. I quickly let him know I was open to suggestions from anyone especially him. He gave me a pointer and I picked up quite a few points on the second half. I really hope the dinner and fun night with them happens. He is incredible company. It's still amazing how amazing a shooter with a record like his is so humble in it that you would be shocked he was so amazing in his prime. And yes, he can still shoot!

Keith and I talked about the forthcoming dinner and he is excited about it. He did say "I don't know why they chose me, there are some shooters in this club that are better than I am." That just goes to show you how humble he is. After 12 world titles Keith would always say "the first one is easy, wining the second and third one is hard with everybody gunning for you."

I was in the group behind Keith at Austin several years back. He said he had not shot in weeks but I couldn't tell.

IMO. As far as the riser goes, it looks no different than many others out there. Maybe we don't use brass bolts to move the center shot out but wood and leather are common and can be adjusted if the velcro is removed. If there is a locking bolt in place and the bolt never moves durring the shot who cares what it's made of? As I read the rules this riser is legal. I'm not on any TBOT committee, so my say so doesn't mean squat but it appears legal to me. As for the inconsistancies between reps at shoots that's an issue that needs to be resolved by the higher ups, as for me I like the rules the way they are and think they should be enforced as such.
