Just found some black and white feathers.. That video from bountyhunter was very helpful! Splicing isnt that hard if you have a good "howto"
Heres what i made out of them. Tell me what you think.

Looks great Daniel...I guess I'm going to have to try my hand at splicing too.

              thanks!

well its not that good. could be better but for the first try im happy with it!

I think for my new set ill go with zebra cresting and black/white. That black part in the middle is not very good, because with the helical glueing the black and white feather doesnt line up very good...

ill shoot this arrow till my new shafts come in and see how it holds up and if the arrow is quiet or if it maks some strang whistling sounds.

Sure you need to try splicing! Its fun and not that hard to do!

I'm really glad I made the switch from wheels to trad. There's so much more fun things to do. These fletching and cresting jobs look great.

I made these many moons ago and remember the red barred feathers I used were a real pain to seperate. Never knew why, and never made anymore after these.

if your still in the loosen mode. go solid color yellow, white, orange, pink. cheaper by the dozen, and your wallet don't flinch when ya loose one...

                            Thanks so much.
fletcherfor2 (Dusty, my husband) made them for me, and the wraps were a gift from Trad"Doc" (Larry). I like the colors, too
But I see other arrows posted on here and think, "OMG, those are the most beautiful arrows I've ever seen." Trad arrow makers are some of the most creative people I know and it never gets old seeing their latest inspirations.

As far as shooting them, I can tell you it tears at my heart to break one...particularly since I've seen the time and effort put into them. I don't think I've broken any of the blue ones (yet), but I may have lost one or two at a shoot somewhere. Almost like losing a child!

Just consider it as cheap therapy Daniel. Shrinks cost a lot more.
