Stone Points

I have three good stone points that I will be putting on arrows in the next couple of days. Not sure if I'll use them yet or not this season, but I plan on taking them with me. Does anyone else use stone points?

The middle point is 133 and the others are both just over 140

Those are so cool. I can just imagine the thrill of killing an animal with those stone points. What did you use to attach them to the shaft?

I'm going to try them when I get the chance to put them together. Stone points on bamboo shafts shafts weigh 430 and 436.

I used artificial sinew and 2 part epoxy. Artificial sinew comes impregnated with a heavy wax, but I clean it out so the epoxy soaks into the sinew. Probably not the best way, but they are pretty durable. I shot the one on the left into my fence and it stood up to it, only chipping the end of the point slightly.

Ron, it looks like real sinew. I bet that wax makes it hard for the epoxy to adhere to the sinew.

DMax, those are nice points. Where did you get them? I bought mine from a guy in Silverton Colorado while on vacation last year.

Chris I got them from Kris McDonald over on trad gang. He was kind enough to send them to me. They are for a BBO that I shoot.

that is on my bucket list. can someone give details on how to put the point on the shaft? im confused on the splitting the end of the arrow part.
