What is the longest you leave your recurve or longbow strung?

Oh, OK, thanks for the info. Just so I understand, the general consensus is that selfbows, older longbows and D-style longbows should be unstrung, but modern reflex-deflex longbows can be left strung? Also, how can you tell the difference between a D-style longbow made with modern glass materials and a R/D longbow?

When un-strung the D-style longbow will be straight. The R/D lb's tips will curve upwards when laid flat. Knida like a recurve but not as dramatic.

I leave strung by the back door

My go to longbow has been strung since 2003 when I built it. Only unstring it to change strings or if I have to leave it in a hot truck.

So my Blackhills LB will be fine if left strung?

Mine has been strung since the day I bought it. Wait..I didn't buy it, but yes, it will be fine.
