3555,2117,7595 and Arrow Dynamic Traditional.
All of my bows must shoot any arrow I pick up.
Look on the recurve build a long there is a video of the recurve being shot.

Maybe it's the saw blade width cut past center that does it?
When I do my shootability tuning, and that I can't explain either, I'm making the arrow shoot where I'm looking at 10 yds
That's the best I can explain it, I thin the pad if needed, I thicken it if needed. as well as sanding a radius in the window. I raise and lower the nock, lower and raise the BH. I change the handle, more or less heel, deepen the throat, I do what ever to make it do what I want.
I have great faith in "If I believe it, then it will happen."
My compound arrows are 4 inch Bi Delta vanes, they are on 7595 Gold tips, I'm pulling around high 50......something maybe 60 something..? (Never scaled it) just kept adjusting the weight till it felt right. it's way over spined I know, but it's awesome shooting machine.
The arrows are 30 3/8ths I have the fletched in a right straight/offset with 125 Snuffers. Now I know what you've read, it requires a hard helical to make them fly straight or it's do all sorts of wild crap....SSHHhhhh My bow can't read so it don't know it's not suppose to shoot like a rifle.
The offset is easy. I draw a thin pencil line on the center of the shaft, I put the left side of the Bi Delta blade(not the base) on the right side of the pencil line and the right side of the blade on the left side in the back. that's it.
Oh and the reason I make my bow to shoot any arrow?
When a POed hog charges me(been there) and I throw my bow in front of him to stop him (ain't worked yet) then he stomps my arrows into numerous bent pieces(had that happen) when he turns to walk away,(been there too) I'll grab one of your arrows and KILL him.(done that)
It just is.

I'm only guessing,I'm not an engineer, I just makem and shootem. but seeing is believing.
I go against the grain on so much stuff it's hard to say.
Just believe in yourself and what you can do. The rest will fall into place. If not, then change it till it does.

awesome
I just got my 3 sons shooting a Ben Pearson recurve a few weeks ago and they love it. Thank you for the way you have done your build alongs.I am taking notes and devouring the information like a little kid. I will be making my first bow in about a month and hopefully pass it along to at least 1 of the boys. I hope all 3 get interested and want to help with it. Really looking forward to my own build now. Thanks for taking the time and posting this. I am sure you have sparked interest in many to do the same as I am about to do.
Do you have any pictures of the final bow, would love to see it if you do.

As you will notice it's a clear finsh and dulled to finish with 0000 steel wool. I didn't have any small snake skins to put on so I put on Camo Duct tape on the back so it wouldn't shine.
The handle did darken up a little more than I thought but it blends in nicely with the surroundings...
She is a smooth Lil Lady.... kinda like my Lil Angel
Yeah, The Lil Angel........and so it is !!

I love aluminum arrows, 2117 is my go to arrow. It was the most common arrow shot with compounds(before carbons hit the scene)if they still made the XX78 2314 Selects, I'd still be shooting those in my compound. I love the fact I can straighten them in the field. Most of the time they bend before they break.
I still carry a hand straightner with me to this day.
But, I also shoot carbons.....and wood. So now you should be able see why it's important for my bows to "Shootem all".
So there is a life lesson here too, Stay in school, study hard, get a good job so you can afford to buy archery toys.
If ya want to try some aluminum arrows let me know. I have a couple extras you can try.
