I have one that's mostly aero parts and various others that I assembled myself for a dedicated thermal set up. I run a SiCo omega on it and after who knows how many 100s of rounds never a single issue. That being said I installed a superlative adj gas block in the beginning. It doesn't get cleaned as often as it should as its used several nights a week most of the time and just keeps going.

maybe this is one of those topics, that it seems that no matter what "your" set up is, it works great switched to the oss and problem solved just cant amagine DI 308 guys arent having the same problem
You have to tune the gun. OSS cans I am not a fan of. “Usually” low back pressure means awful suppression.

Tune the gas system with an adjustable gas block and/or buffer and spring set up. It’s not the suppressor. It’s a poorly tuned rifle. This isn’t opinion. This is fact.

So the DD needed an adjustable gas block too…

Sell the ar-10 and get with the 21st century. Kel-tec rfb. Adjustable gas block(optimized for suppressor use), forward ejecting (reduced port pop), 18.5” barrel, 27.5” oal, 8.7 pounds....don’t have one but I want one.

Ok done, sorry for the hijack, continue with generic answers.
          It's Keltec.

So chances are there's like 4 out there available to buy, and 2 of them work.

          Also, Bullpups are gross.

Most large frame AR rifles and barrels are going to be really gassy. I do not like adjustable gas blocks, but they are probably a good idea on AR10 variations if using a suppressor.

I thought bullpups were gross for a long time. I still think every bull pup besides keltec is gross. I would say keltecs are not for novice gun owners and I think many bad experiences are from novice gun owners. Keltec is made in America with American sourced metal.
But, for suppressor use, hanging weight off the end of the barrel, with the adjustable gas block and piston operation, no ejection port next to your ear or face....it’s function over form and the best you can get.

Get and adjustable gas block. Your just wasting your time and ammo until you do imo.

Why don’t you like them? Serious question

I’m curious also. As long as it’s a quality one, I see no reason not to use an adjustable gas block. All my ARs have them.

Honestly just don't have a need for them. I'm picky about that aspect of a barrel, so I just buy barrels that are gassed well. I won't buy barrels from people who won't advertise port size.

Adj. gas blocks are just one more thing to go wrong. I do like the design of the Noveske Switch Block and the Rifle Speeds though.

I'm mainly talking about 5.56/.223/small frame ARs here. I'm not into AR10 and it's clones. I agree they are probably a must have on those.

A friend has the RDB. His shoots about like an entry level AR. Not bad but not great. Trigger sucks. One can definitely do better for what they cost.

The 60 year old gun is more refined and cheaper than a less than 10 year old gun? I believe you

It’s the best design yes. Could it be done by a heavy hitter like FN or KAC and cost $6,000? Definitely

More refined, more accurate, cheaper, more customizable, more caliber choices, and buildable by everyone from joe in his garage to top of the line custom shops. Not gonna bash the kel tec, it's unique and choices are a good thing. It leaves a lot to be desired though.
