Shotgun season probably is the general gun season. Not sure what they are trying to accomplish here with straight wall and bottle neck cartridges both being legal. I like my 358 Winchester but the 35 Whelen will out range it. 444 Marlin is a great lever gun but you won't get the range out of it either. Most 35 and over are not going to be long range options unless you don't mind the trajectory of a mortar round.
