I like 2.5 but I take a lot of precautions when I hunt with those rifles. I wont have the bolt closed until I am ready to fire. I fully respect the people that will say this is stupid but it is what makes me feel comforatable.

1 to 2 lbs is my preference. I want the trigger to break without me having to think about when it's going to snap.

          Happy to see this !
A open bolt is my fallback option on safety
I have seen many people have lax safety “ oh I got it on safety “
Me “ no please open the bolt “
I have seen many times unloaded or on safety guns go off
Sometimes inside a vehicle or house ( I had a commercial outfitting operation, pronghorn, whitetail, nilgia )

A 2-3 lbs trigger is pretty much my limit ! Seen plenty of blown shots with a guy just touching a trigger

I used a ball point pen spring. No name, G2 would have been better probably. Cut to same length as factory and GTG! No scale so estimate 3ish. Quite happy with results.

I use my last joint in index finger to set weight. It takes 6oz for that joint to straighten out and I set match rifles at 8oz. I can consistently load and come off of the trigger if needed, even in cold weather. That said, I shoot a lot.
Also, fundamentals are more important in precision than a hair trigger.

Typically 1.5 for a field rifle.

Also consider trigger travel and not just trigger weight. I’ve shot some 2lbs triggers that felt like crap and had an “long” trigger travel. You can’t go wrong with a Timmney 510 set at 2.5 with a short travel.

Favorite rifle has a Trigger Tech adjusted to 2#s. Love it.

Same here on all c-fire bolt rifles. Do have a 9422 that is now under 2. It's crazy nice, but the shooter better know it's there.

You don't know you pulled the trigger, it's like it was a thought of it.

                        If I'm in a warm blind, 2.5 - 3lb.
In the open with cold extremities, 5 - 6lb.
Both with crisp breaks and short pulls.

                          2.5-3.0 for me.

I've installed Timneys in a Remington 700, Remington 600 and in AR. I also did a Kidd trigger kit in a Ruger 10-22. I've got three Tikkas that don't need new triggers, factory is great but all adjusted to 2.5. A trigger upgrade, with a weight of 2.5-3 will make you really happy.
