If the Federal Hybrid Hunters dont work I may have to try them.

See if you can find some 140gr. rounds to try. Also see if any of your hunting buddies/friends/neighbors will let you buy 5-6 rounds off them in different configurations.
I dont know anyone with a 7mag. I wish I did then I would not have to buy boxes of ammo. LOL....I ordered some 168's so we will see how that goes.

You need a faster twist barrel for the heavier bullets

I almost picked some of them up at Scheels the other day.

Maybe so but im gonna try them anyway. Ive already ordered them.

If they dont work I will go lighter. Its the only way I have to go.

I have the Weatherby Vanguard 7 Rem Mag. It shoots the Federal Fusion 150gr Sub MOA. Also shoots the Hornady ELD-X fairly well

Here’s a little different perspective. Before you go chasing ammo....

Check your action screws for the proper torque

                  Is your barrel floated?

Have you checked your scope mount and make sure everything is tight and torqued to the proper setting?

I helped a friend with a Vanguard that was slinging shots. We floated the barrel with a shim and turned it into a 1 hole gun at 100yds

Just some other things to consider

                  Good luck!

My 7 mag likes 140 gr bullets.

I checked all of this today at the range. Thank you for the suggestion.

My dads pretty wood stocked 7 mag Vanguard wouldn’t shoot out of the box.
No fun punching paper with it.
Back then we thought all S Tx deer required a 7 mag!

I would shoot lighter bullets and try another scope.
                              Good luck.

My dad has the exact same gun and has been one of the last tried and true believers in Remington Core-Lock ammo. For years I've been trying to get him to try something else in his 7 mag but he wouldn't listen, two years ago when ammo became hard to find and even his Core-Locks were tough to find he finally started trying other brands and his grouping went to chit with every brand he tried! Well a few months ago he finally found a few boxes of Remington Core-Locks in 150 grain and no kidding, that gun is dead nuts on again and the world can finally go back to normal.
