Question about scopes

It’s like a lot of things in life. If you can afford the best quality equipment why would you settle for something less. If you can’t then you have to buy what you can afford. You can always claim that your less expensive scope is just as good as the high dollar ones. But unfortunately you’ll only be fooling yourself.

Threads like this alway make me reflect back to these questions all being the same. And I think relatively plays a big role on it.

Why shoot compounds when recurves can do the job.
Why a bolt action .308 when a 30-30 can get the job done
Why a 4x4 truck when most of your time is spent on the highway.
Why buy a 4 bedroom/3 bath $300,000 dollar house when you could honestly squeeze into a 2 bed 2 bath that costs much less.
Why a scope at all? Back in the day many a sportsman could chip a 200 yd shot free handed with iron sights.
