I'm a lefty as well and my 2 options are, buy a Stag Arms lefty model, or put my big boy pants on and just deal with it.

Sounds like you should give a piston system a go as well. You might just be hangin up those big boy pants and bustin out the speedo if you do, who knows!!!

I’m curious why you want to change the buffer when you can tune it with a gas block? You shouldn’t need to do that. And it should run suppressed and unsuppressed just fine when tuned correctly.

I run a Gas vent forward assist & GB charging handle on the M16, but both of these will just worsen the experience for a lefty...there is no real way to greatly reduce gas on a DI without getting a lefty upper.

The gas buster vents the gas to the extraction side so you may wanna search to see if they make one for lefty's. Sealing off your charging handle will help some as plenty of gas leaks there.

A good tail wind helps more than anything.

it has an adjustable GB "Odin" I also need to get a new buffer to help it lock after the last shot and then try again... may look into the Piston upper as well...

A heavier buffer is going to slow down the bcg as it comes back to lock open on last shot. If your having trouble with it holding open on last shot you need a lighter buffer and to open the gas block up a bit. Unfortunately, doing this won't help with the gas in the face.

There's a lot of tuning and playing required until it operates the way it's suppose to. It's had a light buffer and it didn't lock on the last shot. Now that a suppressor is included it may lock with the light buffer who knows..., but I'm ordering a heavy one as well just in case it doesn't or if it's needed.

If it’s not locking back, a heavier buffer is just going to make it worse. You need to open up your gas block until it will lock back.

Gas blowback sucks, but it’s just part of shooting a suppressed AR. There are a few options that others have mentioned to help, but you are never going to get rid of it completely.

I opened the gas block all the way until the screw fell out and it still wouldn't lock after the last shot.
I'm pretty sure it's not the magazines either since they're P-Mags that don't cause issues in other guns.

Has anyone shot an OSS Suppressor? They are supposed to prevent gas blowback with the gas forward design. I’m interested if they are worth the $$$…
