was gonna say, loosen the rings, rotate the scope 90 deg. and adjust your hold either up or down accordingly to POI. At least now you can adjust your windage with the elevation turret.
The Cross comes with a 20 moa rail installed and they are removable. I think he figured out that the zero stop on his scope was set from the factory and he has more adjustment now after resetting the zero stop.
wow ok , i just looked at the sig site and it showed the base integral to the gun .. didn't realize the base was removable , but it would be a shame if sig designed the base so it can be installed backwards ...
as far as zero stop , i assumed the op would have checked the obvious ...
Obviously you've never been to the Pabst Blue Ribbon School of Gunsmithing..
Lol I guess nobody wants to know how many pieces of cloth tape and Budweiser cans armorers used to square scopes in the ancient days, one thing for sure is thousands of new technologies have been invented to improve the basic wheel .
Yes, own and operate. And I have a rifle that I shimmed 20yrs ago that has never needed to be resighted except when changing ammo or components. $100k+ machines commonly come with shims under the turret from the factory. $10k spindles are shimmed for preload.
So I dont understand why shimming is so bad. But Im not a BR shooter, thats why Im asking.

Stacking tolerances in something that takes heavy recoil. I shouldn’t have to explain that lol.
If a shim is needed in this application then something is way off.
We too heavy 7 figure pieces of machinery that are shimmed at work. Totally different scenario.
