No apologies needed. Hope that zero stop fixes it.

By the way, you can buy shims that match your rifle. You don't have to try to make them yourself.

There is no reason for shims if everything is within spec. You didn’t happen to buy rings with an elevation offset in them did you?

Sounds like you got it covered? Any way I found this in my notes about shims
“ adult beverage aluminum can will give you a shim that will change POI about 4". Cut about 1/2-1" long strip, narrow enough to 'hide' under your scope. I'd think 2 shims, maybe 3 will get you where you need to be. Probably just 2. try a .004 shim.“

Zero stop is pre set or bases are backwards.

I was going to say is your base backwards? If it had 20moa or whatever built in that would take up a lot of your adjustability.

it's a sig ... it's normal! if i'm not mistaken, the base is part of the receiver.. if your rings were off on a 0 moa base you'd notice + never seen rings that far off... that leaves either the scope is messed up .. or the rifle barrel is not screwed on straight... put a different scope and rings on it , if it does the same , it's the gun....

Hail no on shims. I have heard these work well on powder burners but I have not tried them. https://utahairguns.com/fx-no-limit-...nts-picatinny/
Many people swear by them on fixed rail guns where you can't change to 10 or 20 MOA rails to get more elevation adjustment up or down.

The other thing you might try is to reverse the rings. Front ring to the rear and rear to the front. If the rings are offset then this would reverse the elevation difference.

was gonna say, loosen the rings, rotate the scope 90 deg. and adjust your hold either up or down accordingly to POI. At least now you can adjust your windage with the elevation turret.

The Cross comes with a 20 moa rail installed and they are removable. I think he figured out that the zero stop on his scope was set from the factory and he has more adjustment now after resetting the zero stop.
