And I bet 99.9 posting replies aren't shooting 80s much less 90s like they claim. Lol
Don’t be writing checks yo arse can’t cash there zippy…….
That being said, I have played the games seriously for 20 years, but last time i shot a round of clays if shot a 93. That was 2 years ago too. I will admit, the course was set up pretty easy. I don’t shoot near as good as I used to though.

I don't even need a checkbook. I know I'm not shooting in the 90s. But I do know what it takes to do so and have looked at a score board or 3
And I'm not talking charity fluffer courses. I'm talking true NSCA courses.
A 12 gauge can shoot light loads that are really 20 gauge loads. 12 gauge ammo is usually available. Lengthened forcing cones and back bored barrels with screw in chokes are a must for me. There are several good places to have a gun fitted to you and very important make sure it is balanced. You will see that competition folks on the whole shoot longer barrels unless they are skeet only folks. My guns have 30 or 32 inch barrels. Shoot different guns if possible to see what you like. It is hard to beat some of the Browning and Winchester designs unless you go really high end. JMHO
I just looked at the scores of an nsca shoot on the course my son and I shot Wednesday. They had some spicy targets
A 92 won it followed by an 89. I know two of the guys that shot who are master class and they shot a 84 and a 77.

Yeah everyone sets targets differently, I haven’t been able to touch the 90’s yet but I think my high for NSCA is an 89 but I’d like to work my way up to AA or master. Currently a B

I ran a clays range for a while moons ago(if you live in Houston, you have more than likely shot at it). Hence why I put the disclaimer. I might have known a thing or two about NSCA (not that that has anything to do with the course layout/setup in the end).

You don't think the average NSCA tournament is set up with a little more difficulty than most fund raising shoots?

I shot a GPA midstream event years ago. I was cleaning shop till I realized it was set up that way lmao. Makes you feel good though
Registered courses are toooooough. I used to shoot tons of clays. I think I hit 88-89 once. Don’t recall breaking the 90s on a registered shoot course but maybe. Doubtful
Dan. Call Alpine range in the DFW area too. They often have high end used shotguns. Nearly picked up a CG last time I was there. Came to my senses. I don’t shoot shotguns enough anymore. Worth a look.
You really really need to swing by Gordy and sons.
