    Changing zero?

Would taking the removing the action from the stock change the zero on a rifle? I have a Tikka t3x that I might add a Mountain tactical spring to. The action is sitting in s B&C stock and I can screw the action down to the same foot pounds with my fat wrench but don't know if it will change the zero of the rifle.

I can’t imagine that it would change but you can always verify it afterwards and let us know.

It certainly can. Shouldn’t be much but could be enough. If the stock is bedded there is less of a chance.

If it is a free floated barrel I think you should be good if you torque the same make sure it sits in the receiver mounting blocks the same. Try it and see.
