I have all three cans except for the Nomad, I have the Sandman-S. If I had to choose one of the three it would be a coin flip. They all have different roles for me. The Trash Panda is dedicated to my Honey Badger. The Sandman is a 30 cal and I move it around and the Socom is dedicated to my 556 SBR for SHTF situations. The Trash Panda is very light weight.

I have the trash panda and thunder chicken and love them. I have not seen a noticeable difference when I remove and replace that can, as I do that every time he goes in and out of the safe and back into the field. I bought the thunder chicken second but do not think you gain anything over the trash panda except length. I would also look at the thunder beast cans as they are good as well.

Depending on barrel length and rigidity you can have massive POI shifts from can on vs can off, also depends on if the cans are clipped/aligned/double clipped etc. should always return to zero if it was zeroed with the can and vice versa. Heavier cans on longer barrels also have a far greater chance of decreasing accuracy since you’re basically hanging a brick off your rifle. All Q products that I’ve tested were phenomenal in quality and sound. Not sure what caliber you’re going to be mainly shooting it on but edge towards a 30cal can even if you don’t own a 30cal rifle

My main rig is a 30cal harvester that I run on my rifles, super light and direct thread but no FA rated. Have a surefire socom that is about 2 in longer and built like an absolute tank. Both are great on my shorter pistol builds but once I get to rifle length barrels the socom starts to affect accuracy by .5-.75 MOA

Most mounting systems will be repeatable these days. It’s been years since that was an issue as mounts have improved tremendously. The AAC 18T mount was horrible about shifting POI upon removal and remounting the can. The AAC 51T mount corrected that to a degree, but didn’t eliminate it, which is the whole reason for the AAC 90T mount that was introduced about the time AAC was circling the sh*tter. The YHM mount, Dead Air Keymo and Xeno, Q Plan B, Area 419 Hellfire, and Rugged mounts are all light years ahead of what was available 10+ years ago when companies actually had to flaunt repeatability, which for some reason they still include in their literature even though it’s a market wide attribute these days.
