It does not need to be shiny and brass lasts longer without polishing it. Now it may help in auto feeding weapons but for bolt actions, revolvers and single shots its not necessary. I used to shoot bench rest and those guys don't polish there brass and they have shot the most accurate groups in the world!

I wipe the necks immediately after finishing a day at the range with a Krazy Kloth and or some steel wool, wipe the case body off with a shop cloth, brush the inside of the necks with a nylon bore brush and clean out the primer pockets and have had brass last up to 40 loadings. I don't give a rip about pretty as long as it loads and shoots straight

Tomatoes have citric and maleic acid in them in addition to the acetic acid (white vinegar) that is added.

Frankford Arsenal wet tumbler with stainless steel media. About 2 tablespoons of Dawn dish soap and 1 tablespoon of Lemishine.

Your brass will look brand new.

Walnut media. Use any brass cleaner, doesn't take much. I've got some cymbal cleaner that I use, brass looks great. 3-4 hrs min. run time to get them clean.

For a media only I’d use corn cob with Flitz added if it’s semi clean or Walnut and then CC with Flitz if it’s dirty.

My personal steps are SS pins for 2-3 hours, dry them and finish them with 1 hour in corn cob with Flitz for a truly polished finish. I’m OCD about my brass so I take a little extra time,

Wet tumble with dawn and lemishine then dry in a dehydrator for a few hours. The brass comes out shinier than new and the shine lasts much longer. I'll never go back to corn cob tumbling.

Yep when I want REALLY clean brass, I wet tumble and dry in the shoe rack in the clothes dryer for about 30 minutes on high.

Dry media does ok to polish but it really doesn’t clean like wet tumbling.

I used to use the stainless steel pins, but they can wear out and not clean the primer pockets well enough. I switched to stainless steel machine chips. I use a wet tumbler with dish soap and lemishine.

Do the chips seems to ding up the finish more than pins and does it get packed up in the smaller caliber cases 6.5mm and smaller especially like the pins do?

I’ve actually stopped using media all to get there and only use HOT water with Dawn & Lemishine. It gets them just as clean including inside and primer pockets, it just doesn’t shine them quite as well.

I add strips of dryer sheets to my media. It helps clean and polish brass.

Wet tumbler is pretty legit. This was only 2 hrs or so

ditto. a few more steps, but I think it is worth it.
