    Shiny brass

What media are yall using to get that new brass look? I've always used 24grit walnut media. It cleans but I'd like to really shine them up. Using a small tumbler btw. I've heard about adding nushine and of course changing to stainless media or adding some bbs.

Curious on what yall are using.

I’ve always used walnut or corn cob media. Will add some of the Frankfort Arsenal brass polish to the tumbler once the brass is pretty clean. Has worked for me and a bottle lasts a long time.

I wet tumble for 3 hours in pins. Once dry I then tumble them in walnut media. The walnut seems to finish off the polishing process great.

I de-prime first, then tumble in ss.

Corn cob mostly but will add Flitz liquid on stubborn stained brass
I hate using anything that leaves a residue. If it's on the outside it's also on the inside and although I don't have proof, I feel it might affect the powder burn.
I use an old RCBS vibrator pot that's plus 40 years old and still humming.

Corncob and little car wax/polish gets a good shine for me

Stainless wet tumbling is all I use anymore. Unless the brass is really dirty all it takes is about an hour in hot water with a little dawn and lemishine.

This, my buddy reloads and he uses the liquid car wax in the orange bottle, Nu Finish I think. Looks brand new.

Look up brass juice. No pins needed. Started using there brass “wash” and case lubes about a year ago. Stuff works.

The brightest brass you can get IMO from all of the of cases I’ve cleaned over the years is with SS pins.
My sequence is I decap, tumble in SS Pins, size, trim to length/turn the necks, anneal and then finish them out in corncob media often times with a touch of Flitz. That’s on dirty really dirty brass, once I have them shined up I bypass the ss pins and then only size the necks and use corncob media.

Does the brass need to be shiny? I just want mine clean without any corrosion on it.

Nah. Clean is more important honestly. I just wanted it to look good. I've never had a problem with what I've been using.

Friend uses ketchup on his brass shell casings he uses. Don’t ask me how it works, but the brass is bright. His wife found this idea online.
