They seem to take their customers inquiries seriously. They have a section on their website where you can send your comments or suggestions directly to the CEO, Christopher Killoy. He guarantees he reads each and every one. I submitted a suggestion about coming back with 6mm Rem or 250 Savage in their #1’s about 6 weeks ago. They got around to CALLING me today and filling me in on how they (actually Lipsey’s) determine which caliber is released each year. Seems as though the number of #1’s sold has declined in recent years and Lipsey’s chooses which calibers they want and forward them over to Ruger. Ruger hasn’t gotten word from Lipsey’s yet on why the 2021 models will be. I just thought that it shows that this company genuinely cares about their customers and their opinions.

I asked Ruger last december if they were planning on coming out with the 25-06 in the American. Ceo Killoy emailed me that day stating that at the time they were not but he would pass it on to his team for consideration. First of october I saw that Bangers had the gun as an exclusive and I have mine. Hard to beat a company that the Ceo replies to emails and listens to what people wants.

Quite a few years ago, I made a phone call to Ruger to inquire about getting a certain pistol they manufactured in .357 SIG.
The person I was speaking to could not answer my questions. I said to them,” well if you can not tell me what I need to know put Bill Ruger on the phone and I will ask him directly.” She asked me to please hold.
Ended up having a 50 minute discussion with Bill Ruger about chambering a few P series pistols in.357 SIG.

The magazine catch broke when I dropped the mag for my ranch rifle. I emailed them about parts. They sent me a entire magazine for free

I bought a 77 in 257 Roberts several years back. Barrell channel was awful, full contact on left side and 1/8"+ all the way down right side. Called Ruger. A couple days later the big brown truck dropped off a new stock. The new one fit perfectly and had beautiful figured wood. They didn't ask for pictures, didn't ask for old stock, didn't ask for proof of purchase, only asked for name and address.

I was surprised they called by but I guess that’s their M.O. I sent a message to Lipsey’s on their “Contact Us” page. We’ll see what they have to say. I just suggested that they kindly come out with a kid friendly, low recoil caliber for next years run of rifles. I’d like to have one in 250 Savage or 220 Swift.

I have a 20 ga red label that one of barrels does not fire all the time. I called Ruger to have it fixed, and the lady on the phone said they would rather not deal with and to take it to a local gun smith. It just don’t get used anymore, has become a safe queen ( joker, I guess would be more in tune)
